15 days and counting...

so here's the thing, I have no motivation to do anything school-related. not at all. not even a little bit. this is the worst time of year for school because the same thing happens every year. professors realize right before thanksgiving that they haven't taught you anything all semester, so they they decide to pile on the papers, projects and tests right before finals week. awesome... not. I just finished a wave of projects before thanksgiving, and after having an (almost) full week relaxing at home, I cannot bring myself to do anymore projects/papers/schoolwork in general. I have 4 projects/presentations to finish by monday and I've started them all, but I simply cannot finish them. maybe it's because I have a few hours tomorrow that I'm telling myself I'll work on them. maybe it's because Christmas break begins in t-minus 15 days (who's counting?). maybe it's because it's cold outside and I just want to cuddle in my warm footie pajamas (yes I really did buy them) and blankets and snuggle on the couch drinking hot tea and watching Christmas movies. maybe it's because I'm over school and ready to graduate and teach in my very own classroom. I have a feeling it's a combination of all of the above. well either way, I'm searching deep down in the pits of my soul for any scrap of motivation to finish up these silly school projects. BUT, until then I will continue to procrastinate.... :)

here are a few things that are on my mind as of right now:
1. I absolutely love my roommates. adore them. I'm so blessed to have shared some of the best memories with them the past 2 1/2 years. not only that, but they challenge and encourage me to be a better person. not to mention, they're hilarious.
2. in connection with #1, this time of year always brings the best out in all of us. we usually end up being goofy, silly, even insane with stress and school. dance parties happen frequently and it's wonderful.

3. why are reese's holiday shapes, the trees, eggs, hearts, etc. so much better than a regular reese's cup?
4. I'm graduating in May. what the heck.
5. I have decided that I really dislike overhead lights to be on. I like lots of little lamps to light up a room with a soft glow. it's comforting and cozy.
6. I hope it snows for Christmas.

7. I am still not quite sure how to do certain things on this silly blog. and I wonder if anyone actually reads it?
8. I loved to rollerblade as a kid. I wish I still had a pair, cause it's my favorite.
9. why can't summer tans last forever? I would like that.
10. tomorrow I am making gingerbread houses, watching love actually, and baking. it's going to be wonderful.

well, that's all for now blogland. enjoy the randomness :)
