sweet gma jean and the littles.

so I have quite a few different thoughts for today. be prepared for scattered and completely random ideas floating around inside my head. you have been warned. at least you can always count on me for keeping you on your toes, right?

meet my sweet grandma jean. she's precious right?

I can't begin to describe my thankfulness for this woman in my life. she's been through so much in her life, and has always been so full of joy no matter what life hands her. recently grandma jean {who I get my middle name from - treat!} went through a lot of health issues and trauma and was in the hospital for over a month and a half. we had quite a few scares with her but with so many prayers from friends and family members, and the Lord's will, she is on her way to making a full recovery! words can't explain how thankful I am to have her in my life, and that she's made such remarkable progress. to those of you who sent up prayers for her, I can't thank you enough. I have truly experienced the incredible power of prayer in a deep and personal way, and I don't think I've ever been more thankful for God's grace and that He cares deeply for every small detail of our lives. {not just mine, yours too!}
love love love grandma jean. and that we share a name :)

next item of business.
meet my sissy's.

emily is on my left; liz is on the right.

I really love them. a lot. a lot. A LOT. not to be cliche, but there is a bond that sisters have that is unlike anything else. although we have a lot in common, we are all so very different. we're silly and goofy and I can act as silly as can be and have the best time ever with them, even when we're doing nothing. one thing that happens every time I'm home visiting pittsburgh is cookie baking. yes, chocolate chip. yum! there is always crazy dancing involved to our old favorites such as britney spears and whitney houston, a big mess, and lots of cookies. this is our time. I spend all my time with them when I'm home, but this is boy-talk time and school-talk time. it's irreplaceable and wonderful. and I miss them so much already and want them to come to kentucky to live with me. {I failed in convincing lizzie to come to uk for school, but I'm working on emily. when she comes to visit - feel free to help me out}
well, as I finish this post I realize it's not quite as random as I originally thought. which is an improvement! I'm getting better at sticking to 1... or 2 topics per post. :)

*sidenote: I begin student teaching on wednesday and am so excited to share some fun/funny stories with you so very soon! be on the look out for them! :)
hope you have had a joyful day.
