snow again?!

I feel responsible for the snow. I think I spoke too soon about my love for the warm weather we had this past weekend and now what do we have?! a light dusting of snow and it's 30 degrees. brrrrrrr! inevitably fayette county canceled school today...again. BOO. I feel super bummed because my 8th graders had a field trip today to see the play "Holes" and now we cannot go. :( I was really excited for that! now my students will be in school until just about forever...


dear old man winter,
while I appreciate and do love your season of cold weather and snow, and all that you bring with it, I think it is time for you to leave. I love to play outside in the snow that you send our way! and I will admit I enjoy the occasional snow day or 2 hour delay, but this is getting a little bit out of hand. we've had a good solid 3 months of 32 degrees and below, ice, pretty snow* and freezing wind chills. don't be selfish now and remember to share march with Spring because I am certain we are all ready for a little warmth, sunshine, pretty flowers and to be able to play outside without 30 layers of clothing on. thank you & and see you in december.
