yes, I like valentine's day.

valentine's day. it seems that most people have a love/hate relationship with today, depending mostly upon whether or not they are dating someone. I think that is just silly. dating doesn't have everything to do with valentine's day! yes, it may be a "hallmark holiday", but what's not to like about celebrating all the love in your life with those you cherish so much? coming from a single gal, I would say I used to dislike valentine's day, thinking it was nothing more than a waste of time and money, and shouldn't you tell those you love how much they mean to you every day anyway? {yes, you should}. 


to me, today is a day to celebrate. and there is much to celebrate! I have been blessed beyond belief with friends & family who surround me, love me, challenge me and encourage me daily. and beyond that, blessed with the love of a Father who calls me daughter, who renews me each day and guides each step I take. I'm thankful for the love in my life and the opportunities I've been given to share it with others. 


so regardless of your relationship status, I hope you can appreciate the loved ones in your life. too often we don't say what we really think or feel, but instead hide behind walls we put up. we don't tell those we love the most how much they really mean. you can call it cheesy, you can call it cliche, but at the end of the day, it's still just as true. don't forget to tell your loved ones what they mean. because I can't be with most of the most important people in my life today, here's a little preview for you:
