today was positively grosssss outside. after such a sunny and warm sunday, I had a hard time waking up this morning, especially while it was dark and raining outside. ick. BUT because of the {slightly} warmer temperatures I whipped out my toms yesterday, and even sported them into school today because we had a release day in the library and could wear jeans :) treat! I tell ya, it's the little things in life. if you've never heard of toms it's a pretty sweet deal all around. basically you buy 2 pairs of shoes for anywhere between $40-70, depending on the style and color you choose. you keep one pair, and an identical pair gets sent to a child in need. they call it the "one for one" movement and I'm a big supporter. if you think about it, you'd probably spend around $40 for a pair of shoes for yourself just in general, but this way you are helping someone and even getting a cute shoe! if that's not an awesome deal then I don't know what is. not to mention, these little buggers come in basically any color, style, or size that you want, and they're extremely comfortable and durable. in my ideal world I would get to hand deliver these shoes to kids myself, but at the moment is not a possibility, so I will settle for supporting toms... for now. :)
